The giant redwood and Sebesvár medieval castle

The scenery ...

 Extreme tools ...

The giant redwood in Cluj county near Săcuieu / Székelyjó - one of the few in Romania - actually lives in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Sequoiadendron giganteum is the world's largest single trees and largest living thing by volume, it grows to an average height of 50–85 m and 6–8 m in diameter. This example that we visited is about 30 m high, the height of a 9 story building.

Sebesvár castle or Bologa castle is the best preserved medieval castle in the region. View from the road.

Râpa Roșie - Red ravine

It is a geological reserve in Alba County about 4 kilometers north of Sebeș. Its walls rise to a height of 80-100 m. Rock formations are naturally carved with very unusual shapes of columns, towers and pyramids formed over centuries of erosion by rainwater.
