Castrum Potaissa (Patavissa)
Our Sunday journey began at castrum Potaissa, wich was the most important roman settlement in the Cluj county region. The castrum became a municipium, then later, a colonia and it was the basecamp of the Legio V Macedonica from 166 to 274. Today is not much to see, but there is more than meets the eye. For a history lovers is a must visit place, walking by the "ruins" it was very easy to reconstruct what centuries brought down.
After the roman visit, hoping for a nice sunset, we turned our interest to an other castle - a quite well preserved one, knowing its hazardous history - to Torockószentgyörgy castle. The sun just waited until we managed to climb up a rocky peak, and it started , man, what a site ...
