Dying Panzer...
I found this panzer near Holzwickede, a good friend of mine Tomas, told me that there is a military training point, where are training with tanks too, and we went out in an ugly, stormy weather to see some.We found two tanks in a really bad shape, this one without turret and barrel, but I liked them, this tank was made in the late 60's, I think, and the NFOR marking is not original.

Greetings from Köln III. ~The Dom~
I think this is the most fantastic architecture I've ever seen, gigantic and beautiful. The Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church, it's plan is in the shape of a Latin Cross.
Construction of Cologne Cathedral began in 1248 and took, with interruptions, until 1880 to complete – a period of over 600 years. It is 144.5 metres long, 86.5 m wide and its two towers are 157 m tall. The cathedral is one of the world's largest churches and the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe.

Some 1945 feeling shots...it's a miracle that this fantastic architecture survived the devastating bomb raids ... and the war ... The cathedral suffered seventy hits by aerial bombs during World War II. It did not collapse, but stood tall in an otherwise flattened city. The great twin spires are said to have been used as an easily-recognizable navigational landmark by Allied aircraft raiding deeper into Germany in the later years of the war, which may be another reason the cathedral was not destroyed.

Greetings from Köln I. ~walking between the two bridges~
Köln is Germany's fourth-largest city with more than ten million inhabitants. It is one of the oldest cities in Germany, having been founded by the Romans in the year 38 BC.

During World War II, Cologne was a Military Area Command Headquarters, endured 262 air raids by the Western Allies, which almost completely wiped out the center of the city. During the night of 31 May 1942, Cologne was the site of "Operation Millennium", the first 1,000 bomber raid by the Royal Air Force in World War II. 1,046 heavy bombers attacked their target with 1,455 tons of explosives. This raid lasted about 75 minutes, destroyed 243 ha of built-up area. By the end of the war, the population of Cologne was reduced by 95%. This loss was mainly caused by a massive evacuation of the people to more rural areas.
