A piece of history, the Nyerges-tető
If you are a hungarian, transilvanian, austrian, russian or even romanian I'm pretty sure you heard about the 1848-49 freedom-fights, about the revolution.
At an altitude of 875 m, in the mountains of Ciuc is a place we call Nyerges-tető, a holly place were one of the last battle of the 1848-49 revolution was fought. This is the place where major Tuzson János and his handful of soldiers fought bravely against the mighty Austro-Russian army. The battle was won by the Austrians by treachery. The fallen heroes body was berried in a common grave in this holly place, where now, you can find this sea of crosses.
